Referral Program

We may offer you the opportunity to earn a reward by successfully inviting friends and family to open and fund an EC Markets account. These referral rewards are offered at our discretion and may not be available at all times.

When a programme is live, you will be notified by email and the Refer a Friend section will appear in the EC Markets app. You do not need to request enrolment — you will be included automatically when a programme is running.

Refer a friend → they sign up, pass identity verification, and deposit £50 or more → both you and your friend receive a free stock worth up to £100. The exact value is randomised, with an average of around £20.

To be eligible to refer friends, your account must be fully verified and you must have been a registered EC Markets customer for at least 2–3 business days. If you do not see the Refer a Friend option in the app, either no programme is currently active or your account is not yet eligible.

Unlike some platforms, both you and your referred friend receive a free stock reward when all steps are completed. Your friend's reward is credited within 24 hours of their qualifying deposit clearing.

Referral programmes run for set periods determined by our team. We will always inform you by email when a programme launches and when it is due to expire. Keep an eye on the app for the latest availability.

To earn your reward, your friend must complete all required steps before the referral programme expires. The programme expiry date is always shown in the Refer a Friend section of the EC Markets app.

1. Share your unique referral link. Find your personal link in the Refer a Friend section of the app. Share it via WhatsApp, iMessage, email, or copy it to send however you like. Your friend must use this link when signing up — if they register without it, the referral cannot be credited to your account.
2. Your friend signs up and passes identity verification (KYC). Using your link, your friend downloads the EC Markets app, creates an account, and completes identity verification. Your friend must be a completely new EC Markets user — existing users or those who have previously started but not completed registration are not eligible.
3. Your friend makes a qualifying deposit of £50 or more. This is the step that triggers the reward for both of you. Deposits using a payment method already linked to another EC Markets account are not eligible.
4. Rewards are credited within 24 hours. Once your friend's qualifying deposit clears, you will each receive your free stock and an in-app notification confirming the referral. You can track pending referrals in the app at any time.

Your friend must use your referral link before they create their account — not after. If they register without it, the referral cannot be linked to your account and neither of you will receive a reward for that sign-up. We are unable to retroactively apply referral credits.

No — the reward is only triggered once your friend deposits a minimum of £50. Until that step is completed, neither of you will receive the free stock. Bear in mind that all steps, including the deposit, must be completed before the programme expiry date. Your friend will receive reminders from us to complete their deposit.

Both you and your referred friend each receive a free stock valued between £5 and £100, credited within 24 hours of your friend's qualifying deposit clearing. The stock is selected randomly from a curated range, with a weighted probability model giving an average reward value of approximately £20.

In addition to the free stock, you earn 250 E Coins per successful referral and your friend receives 100 E Coins when they fund their account. E Coins count towards your EC Intelligence tier and unlock platform perks.

The value is determined by a randomised probability model — every referral brings a genuine chance of a higher-value reward. The table below shows the probability distribution:

• £5 — 34% (most common)
• £10 — 18%
• £20 — 18%
• £25 — 13%
• £50 — 12%
• £75 — 4%
• £100 — 1% (maximum reward)

The weighted average across all outcomes is £20.35. You can view the current reward range in the Refer a Friend section of the app at any time.

Yes. If your friend deposits £100 or more (rather than the minimum £50), both of you receive boosted odds — a higher probability of receiving a stock worth £50 or more. Your friend does not need to do anything different; the boost applies automatically and is shown in the app during active campaigns.

Your free stock is credited to your EC Markets Invest Account within 24 hours of your friend's qualifying deposit clearing. You will receive an in-app notification when it arrives.

Yes. Rewards are subject to a 90-day holding period from the date of credit. The stock cannot be transferred during this period — if you wish to access the value, you must sell it rather than transfer it. Any applicable trading requirement will be noted in the programme terms shown in the app.

Reward value is based on the market price at the time of allocation. Stock values may go up or down after allocation — your free stock is a real equity holding and is subject to market movements. Capital at risk.

Each referral programme runs for a fixed period. The expiry date is always visible in the Refer a Friend section of the app. Once the programme expires, your referral link will no longer work for new sign-ups, and any friend who signs up or deposits after the expiry date will not count as a valid referral — even if they used your link before it expired. All required steps must be completed before the expiry date.

There is no fixed upper limit on the number of friends you can refer. However, each programme may specify a maximum number of rewards you can earn within that programme period. The cap, if applicable, is displayed in the programme details in the app.

No. Referred friends must be completely new to EC Markets — no prior account, even if it was started but not completed. Referring an existing user will not trigger a reward for either party.

Our referral programme is designed to reward genuine introductions of new customers. The following behaviours are strictly prohibited:

• Creating a duplicate account in order to refer yourself.
• Referring someone who already has an EC Markets account, including accounts that were started but not completed.
• Using a shared or duplicate payment method — referred friends must deposit using a payment method not already linked to any existing EC Markets account.
• Sharing your referral link on paid advertising platforms, voucher or cashback sites, or any channel that could mislead users into signing up under false pretences.
• Promoting false or misleading information about EC Markets, our products, or the referral reward.
• Attempting to manipulate the reward probabilities or funding mechanics in any way.

These are conditions of participation, not guidelines. If any prohibited behaviour is identified, EC Markets reserves the right to recover any rewards already credited, cancel any pending rewards, suspend or permanently close your account, and take further legal action where warranted.

To protect all participants, we operate KYC verification for all referred users, device fingerprinting to detect self-referral, and unique payment method checks to prevent funding from shared sources.
